About Us

Wilderness Home Furniture/Wooden It Be Nice is a family-owned and operated furniture store located in downtown Eagle River, Wisconsin.

We are local people ourselves and are the owners: Bryan, Tina, Robyn, and Brenna Yakel.

We opened our first store in the former Woodcrest Furniture Store building on December 1, 2005. Since then we opened Wooden It Be Nice and decided to combine both stores.

I have a background in the furniture business previously managing a store in Rhinelander for a number of years. Living in the area for most of my life and and having come from a resorting family, I have an appreciation for all things “northwoods”.

My wife, Tina, is a manager at Pamida here also. Our oldest daughter, Robyn, attends Northland Pines Middle School, enjoys cheer and dance and figure skates. Our youngest daughter, Brenna, also attends Northland Pines Elemantary School and also enjoys figure skating.

We all enjoy living, working, and playing here. There’s no better place to be!

We have made a lot of improvements to our building you’ll like our new look here. We invite you to stop in and browse and will continue to update our website with some of the new furnishings that are coming in.
