About Us

Wilderness Home Furniture is a family-owned and operated furniture store located in downtown Eagle River, Wisconsin at the corner of Railroad and Wall Streets. We are local people ourselves and are the new owners: Bryan, Tina, Robyn, and Brenna Yakel.

We opened our new store in the former Woodcrest Furniture Store building on December 1, 2005. I have a background in the furniture business previously managing a store in Rhinelander for a number of years. Living in the area for most of my life and and having come from a resorting family, I have an appreciation for all things “northwoods”. My wife, Tina, is an office manager at Pamida here also. Our oldest daughter, Robyn, attends Northland Pines Elementary School, plays soccer, and figure skates. Our youngest daughter, Brenna, attends Wee Care and will be attending Northland Pines next year and joining her sister in some of these same sports. We all enjoy living, working, and playing here. There’s no better place to be!

We own our home and also have rental lake property here in the area and are dedicated to presenting and offering the warmth and comfort of furniture that will compliment your décor in this beautiful northwoods lake area that we all love.

We have made a lot of improvements to our building and hope you’ll like our new look here. Our furnishings that are in stock can be delivered to your home right away…no need to wait for it to be ordered!
